Get Out the Vote

Join the Process. Every vote counts! Sadly, here in the home of contemporary representative democracy, most elections are decided by a very small group. Typically, 40-50% of registered voters don't bother to join the electoral process, which means an election won by a margin of 51% is actually determined by about 1/2 of 1% of eligible citizens. When deciding if you will "bother" to participate in the coming election, please consider the many who have given so much to secure your right to vote. Then, get involved. Your vote counts!

What does voting have to do with you?

Elected officials affect many areas of your life such as:

  • Economic issues affecting the type of jobs available to you
  • The taxes and fees you will pay
  • Your work environment, hours and fairness
  • The quality and content of the educational system
  • Issues that affect your natural and cultural environment
  • Your cost and access to medical attention
